Registration
- All participants are requested to register upon arrival at the desk located at the Accra
International Conference Centre (AICC).
- A valid photo ID should be presented to the registration staff.
- As of Tuesday, 19 August 2008 the “no registration, no access” rule shall be strictly
applied and will be enforced throughout the sessions.
- Early registration on Tuesday, 19 August 2008 is highly recommended to avoid delays.
Registration times
- Tuesday, 19 August and Wednesday, 20 August, from 8.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- From Thursday, 21 August to Wednesday, 27 August, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Double registration for the sessions is not permitted (i.e., State representative and observer
organization representative, or state representative and press/media representative).
Badges
Badges are essential in order for participants to gain access to the premises. They are issued
only on the basis of accreditation by the UNFCCC secretariat. For security reasons, all
participants are requested to wear their badges at all times.
Visas
All foreigners wishing to enter Ghana must have a valid passport. Participants requiring a visa
for Ghana, or a transit visa, are strongly encouraged to contact the appropriate consular authorities
as soon as possible.

Disclaimer
With respect to health requirements and precautions to be taken by participants travelling to Ghana,
the secretariat of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and its Kyoto Protocol
(the secretariat) informs all participants that they should consult and seek medical advice from
their physicians/doctors and take medical precautions as advised. For example, vaccination against
Yellow Fever is mandatory to enter the country.
For general information purposes, the participants can check on the current health requirements, for
Ghana, posted by the World Health
Organization. The secretariat hopes the information will familiarise the participants with
the general health requirements for Ghana. At all times, the participants are individually and
personally responsible for making their own assessment relating to health requirements. The
secretariat does not assume any responsibility for the accuracy of the information on the website,
nor does it assume any liability resulting from compliance (or non-compliance) with the requirements
posted on the website."
It is strongly recommended that participants obtain international medical insurance for the period of
participation. The United Nations and the Convention secretariat disclaim all responsibility
for medical, accident and travel insurance, for compensation for death or disability, for loss of or
damage to personal property and for any other costs or losses that may be incurred during travel time
or the period of participation.
